The love story of the future Mr. and Mrs. Olson isn’t typical. In fact, neither were “looking for love” at the time of their meeting. It was the love of another that allowed their paths to cross. Lane and Brittany met through mutual friends… it’s a long story that  may embarrass the groom, but Lane thought Brittany was a beautiful bridesmaid at one of her best friend’s weddings. Lane, though a bit out of character, decided to be bold – quite forward, actually – and reach out to Brittany. Brittany was admittedly, intrigued. Brittany gave Lane her cell phone number and their correspondence began – nearly 1,000 miles apart. But, it was Lane’s desire to travel to visit Brittany in Kansas for their first real date that shocked her… In the end, she thought, “Why not? What do I have to lose?!”

So, Lane bought a flight from Salt Lake City, Utah to Wichita, Kansas and a fun time was had by all! Lane and Brittany stayed up all night talking Lane’s first night visiting… Hardly a moment of silence could be heard. They shared their hopes and dreams, opened up about their families and friends, their struggles and accomplishments, and their views about faith, hope, and LOVE. It was an open, honest conversation the two will never forget. There was an instant connection that bonded Lane and Brittany. It was a connection they feel blessed to have had; a bond they treasure.

It was at the conclusion of this trip that both knew the other was someone special… That they were worth the distance to endure and the time to spare. It was at the conclusion of this trip that Lane and Brittany knew they’d make a “great team.” And… they do.
